About This Item

Ernest Flammarion, Editeur, 1925-01-01. Paperback. Good. No date, but circa 1925 Ernest Flammarion (Paris), 4 5/8 x 6 5/8 inches tall stapled paperbound, in wrappers printed into black and orange, 61 pp. plus table of contents and publisher's ads. Covers rubbed, edgeworn and lightly stained with a sun fading 'stripe' to the rear cover. Old price sticker to front cover. Age toning to contents, but the paper is still quite supple. A couple of pages with very light staining. Otherwise, a good to very good copy of this scarce issue, Book No. 126 in the renowned Max and Alex Fischer humor series, 'Une heure d'oubli...' series. OCLC (No. 815942698) locates only one copy, worldwide, at the National Library of Slovenia in Maribor, Slovenia. ~C~ Max (Maxime Chevalier Elieser Abraham) Fischer (1880-1957) and Alex (Alex James Abraham Eliezer) Fischer (1881-1935) were twentieth century French writers of Swiss origin, brothers who jointly wrote humorous stories and served as literary editors of Editions Flammarion in Paris.
