First Edition of this fine series of interior and exterior views of the architectural landmarks of Scotland, all after drawings by British architect, Robert William Billings, together with descriptive letterpress. This is Billings' greatest achievement and the one with which his name is chiefly associated. As an architect Billings is best known for his restorations of Edinburgh Castle, the Douglas Room in Stirling Castle, Gosford House, Haddingtonshire, for the Earl of Wemyss, Hanbury Hall, Worcester, Crosby-upon-Eden Church, Cumberland, and Kemble House, Wiltshire.
