New York: Holiday House, 1944. Green hardcover cloth binding clean and tight. Bumped corners, slight rubbing top and bottom of spine. 192 pages with illustrated endpapers showing map of story. Some foxing. Bottom outside edges of pages show indentation but does not affect text block. Story of a young American boy during the War of 1812. Author was in the US Army during WWII. He also wrote Mike of Company D about an Irish Terrier dog during wartime and Up Anchor!. Illus. by Pitz, Henry C.. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 1st. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
