London: Chapman and Hall. Good with no dust jacket. 1890. First Edition. Hardcover. With One Hundred and Thirty Illustrations. Decorative brown cloth, small illustration in black and gilt rule to front, gilt lettering to front cover and spine, top edge gilt. decorative endpapers, Includes illustrations on plates with guards and additional small illustrations within text. Inscription to copyright page reads: This Edition is limited to Two Hundred and Eighty Copies / of which this is a Presentation Copy E / D. C. T.[author's initials] / With the author's compliments / June 27th 1890. Large and heavy, USPS Media Mail as expected, others extra.; 11" x 14-1/4"; xvi, 294, [2] pp; Signed by Author; Boards with some scratches and a small black spot to rear, edgeworn (esp. at corners). Spine well-worn, with small losses at top and losses and significant fraying at bottom of spine. Hinges remain sound but page grouping between pp. 217-233 has loosened, one guard is partly detached and a bit proud.. No inscriptions (apart from that of the author), pages are generally clean though a few small spots can be observed, no foxing. .

Items which fit in one of the Medium Flat Rate Boxes can ship for the standard expedited charge, regardless of weight.
