SECOND EDITION (1920) (first published in 1914 by Frowde/Hodder & Stoughton), square 8vo, 225 x 200 mm, 9 x 8 inches, buff boards, round embossed extra colour plate by Preston on upper cover, illustrated endpapers, no pagination, 56 pages not including the plates, endpapers and 8 colour plates by Chloe Preston, some text illustrations by her, title page and many black and white text illustrations by G. Howard-Vyse. Lots of dressed bunnies, meadow-mice etc. and evil Bill the Stoat. Barbara has adventures with the bunnies on her day's holiday on Burrow Farm. Head and tail of spine and corners slightly worn, with tiny chips to surface, spine edges slightly rubbed, endpapers faintly browned, neat inscription on pastedown. Occasional small pale mark to margins, contents very nice. VG+. See Mary Hillier, Chloe Preston, page 27 for collaboration with Howard-Vyse and page 78.
