The OutingPublishing Company. New York, 1907 Red Pictorial Cloth in Good condition. American First Edition. Illustrated with 7 plates by N. C. Wyeth and Frank E. Schoonover. 8vo - 19.5 x 13 cm. A nice copy of this very scarce First American Editon. [Copyright lines read: "Copyright, 1906, 1907 by The Outing Publishing Company, Entered at Stationer's Hall, London, England". The colophon page at the rear reads "Set up, electrotyped and printed at TheOuting Press Deposit NewYork"] Red cloth pictorial cover with gold lettering and a black and white cowboy image is in good condition. Front gutter has a vertical split. Corners gently bumped. Back cover has a stain from top. Top page edges have some dust darkening. Pages generally clean and crisp, though scattered browning is evident. to bottom. White lettering on spine is faded and red cloth is darkened. Binding is a little loose. Preliminaries and lower corners are a little thumbed. Book is 382 pages and represents Hopalong Cassidy's first appearance on his way to becoming one of America's best-loved Western literary and moving-picture icons.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good.
