Hale, 1955. , 1955. 1st ed. 192p. Jacket Illustration by Ronald Searle. British prisoner of war captured at the fall of Singapore. He endured two years on the Thai-Burma railway and in the final year of the war was shipped to Japan. His ship was sunk but he survived until rescued by US forces. Page edge foxing.
