Provides full bibliographical details for entries, with critical opinions of the mpore important and synopses of their content. Inscribed and signed and designated the "first copy" by the author on the front free endpaper: "This first copy belongs to the first subscriber, Newbury Frost Read, Esq., who is first in many things, including the sincere regard of the bibliographer, Royce". Slightly agetoned, slight wear to corner-tips, otherwise Very Good. Newbury Frost Read (1887-1950) was a New York real estate agent and noted collector of Dickens.
