Baraboo, Wis: By Author, 1904. HB. Red beveled cloth, gilt lettering on front cover, 12 mo, 126 pp. Frontis photo of author. Poetry, mainly on the American Civil War. Book dedicated to the author's brother, killed at Chantilly, Va. September 1, 1862. The Battle of Chantilly was a rear-guard action after the Second Battle of Bull Run, at which General Phillip Kearny also fell. No marks in book, binding solid. Hinge cracked at title page. Covers show minor edge wear. Book condition VG-. Uncommon title.
