Edinburgh: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, and Brown and Archibald Constable and Co. , 1819. FIFTH EDITION. Contemporary (original) full calf leather with 4 raised bands. Blind stamped decorations to spine with gilt tooling to the top, bottom and the bands. Titled "Scots Works" on spine along with the title of this book "Ballads etc" in gilt lettering. The boards have decorative gilt borders and rulling with an unusual straight grain to the leather. All edges marbled. Gilt tooled border to inside edge behind boards. Marbled endsheets. Light sporadic foxing throughout as is usual with books this age. VERY light foxing. 180pp. Overall in EXCELLENT condition. A good gift. Fifth Edition. Full Calf Leather. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.
