About This Item

Toronto: Macmillan of Canada, 1967. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, with no signatures or signs of wear. The green covers are fresh, with just a bit of wear at tips and corners. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, and is also in very good condition, with minor wear. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. A very nice copy. Synopsis: This is a lightly fictionalized biography of D'Arcy McGee. McGee started his political life as an Irish rebel, and ended it as a member of the Canadian Parliament and a father of Confederation. McGee was assassinated in Ottawa in 1868 by a Fenian sympathiser.
