About This Item
Dodd, Mead and Company, 1893. Hardcover. Good. in x in x in. First American issue. Green cloth pictorially stamped in gilt; top edge gilt. This is actually a UK pressing with a leaf bound in, reading: ""This copy...is part of the first English Edition. In deference to the wishes of collectors it is issued with the English imprint solely, but it is published in the United States by arrangement with the author and the English publishers by Dodd, Mead & Company, New York."" The spine ends, bottom edges, and corners are a bit rubbed, the corners also bumped, the third signature is shaken, and there is light foxing throughout. It is otherwise an attractive copy.
