Springfield, MA: Baldwin-Duckworth Chain Corporation, 1939. 4to. 120 pp., w/ first 16 pp. printed & illustrated in red & black, illustrations, diagrams, charts throughout. Burgundy cloth, gilt lettering & illust. on front cover (minor rubbing, shelfwear), still VG copy, w/ ownership stamp at upper fore-edge for G. Brott. First edition of this well-illustrated catalogue of the famed company which manufactured and supplied the chains for Harley-Davidson & Indian motorcycles, Columbia bicycles, Atlas & Ross Carrier Co. fork lifts, Sterling, Kenworth and other truck builders, as well as a myriad of other machinery such as Hershey’s Chocolate belt conveyors, and Baldwin road-building equipment. The company was originally a subsidiary of the Chain Belt Company. Worldcat locates 2 copies (Henry Ford, Penn Hist. & Mus. CL).
