London, Grant Richards, 1902.. FIRST EDITION 1902, small 8vo, 128 x 80 mm, 5 x 3 inches, light green cloth striped and lettered dark green, pages: (8), 95. 24 very attractive colour plates. An enchanting fantasy about a 6 inch tall girl (150 mm) who lives with Mrs Ginger, a large, fierce, dressed cat. She runs away to Fairyland when Mrs Ginger beats her for not killing the friendly birds and mice to feed the kittens. All pages printed 1 side only. Spine slightly darkened, endpapers faintly browned, very small neat name on half-title, 10 mm (½") closed tear at top of blank leaf (7/8) following title leaf, binding firm. A very good clean copy.
