About This Item
Greenwich, Connecticut: Gold Medal Books, 1960. 127 pages. Paperback original--first printing of the first edition. "Good girl" cover art by famed illustrator Robert McGinnis. The story is rather typical Gil Brewer fare: fifties noir meets sixties sleaze. But Brewer also aspired to something greater as in the following 3 haiku-like lines describing a sexual encounter: "She moaned and she moaned. After a while they lay still. The house waited." The obviously unread book is clean and tight, with perhaps a hint of spinecock, faintly toned pages, a small area of color fading on the rear cover, and an occasional small spot of foxing. The condition is better than it sounds. Size: 12mo.. First Edition. Paperback. Collectible-Very Good. Illus. by Robert McGinnis (cover). 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Book.
