England: Ward Lock, 1921. Book. Illus. by J. MacFarlane. Fair. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Dated 1921 as required for the real 1st edition, unlike most of the "1st editions" offered. Lists to Dick Lester of Kurrajong. Binding is heavily worn, especially to the heel, bumped to all corners, shaken, and the boards are faded and discoloured. front free endpaper has been removed, frontis is missing. Large Butterfly stencilled to front pastedown. Plate at page 144 has additional art on the back in blue ink which is the same style as the additional art on the rear endpaper, lots of spotting and small marks internally. Tan coloured boards. A true 1st edition but not a nice copy..
