Circa 1883, dated from adverts on lower cover, 4to, 230 x 205 mm, 9 x 8 inches, colour illustrated white card covers, internal layout in the style of Caldecott toybooks, 23 pages. 8 charming full page colour plates, black and white illustrations throughout (8 full page). A little girl recites the history of a quarrel with her brother in which he melted her doll's nose and she broke his top. 50 mm (2") split at tail of spine, very slight soiling to covers, corners slightly creased, 1 small graze to lower cover, contents nice, 1 or 2 pale marks to margins.
