Very Good. 26 x 19 cm. Photo No. 287937 dated 2/3/26 from Wide World Photos. From the printed information mounted on back: "Whippet tanks operated by the Kentucky State Militiamen with machine gunners and bombers were scattered throughout Lexington yesterday to prevent any attempt to lynch Ed Harris, negro who was sentenced to death for the slaying of Clarence W-Bryant [sic] and his two children and the assault of the dead man's wife. There were no disorders and the Negro was sentenced to death sixteen minutres after court convened." He was executed by hanging a month later, having said, according to the New York Times, "I'm prepared to go. My sin was great, but I prayed and overcame it."
