Roberts was one of those contributing to the establishment of the independence of Canadian literature, but he also wrote animal stories while living in New York, which brought him much popularity. Fly-leaf has large childish inscription of J W Clark- Maxwell. Some foxing, especially on end-papers. Otherwise good +.
