Gedruckt bey Johann Thomas Edlen von Trattnern, 1795. Leather Binding. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. xvi + 605 +[9] +64pp. Text in French and German. Illustrated engraved frontispiece, and one plate. Lacks teh map and 23 of the 24 called for plates. Three quarter calf over marbled boards. Wonderful events in Telemachus, highlight the benefit of youth through German annotations, heavy words, phrases and constructions, gallicisms, antiquities, mythology, history, and geography are explained. Binding is intact, but the boards are heavily worn with some loss of teh leather, especially at the spine; text black is intact, and the pages clean, with no foxing or soiling. Previous owner's inscription to second blank (dated 1847, and a few 19th century library stamps to the text. Overall a Good only copy.
