Washington: House of Representatives, 1839. 1 page. 1 vols. 4to. To Charles W. Webster, his cousin in Fort Plain, New York. Laid onto a larger colored sheet of paper, some discoloration and wear of colored sheet, some marginal browning, folds, else very good. 1 page. 1 vols. 4to. "Van B must go down-Harrison must go up" Writing to Webster asking him to enquire of their grandfather whether he "knows any thing about the fact that Jellis Fonda of Cangnawaga during the Revolution, had during said War, his houses & property destroyed by fire &c by the Enemy. Giles F. Yates Esq. of Schenectady desires to know." He writes from the House, saying that they are at that time being sworn in and describing the activities. His post script reads "Politics goes weoo-Van. B must go down-Harrison must go up-rely upon it." Wagner was the Representative from New York, formerly practicing law in Fort Plain, New York.
