Brock", 12mo. 1 page, in ink, np / nd, ca. 1870s, to a fellow writer offering a suggestion, in part: "With some misgiving I venture to offer to you an experience why we cling to memory. I should like much to have the setting of the 'Aldiere', if you think it worthy."<br/> <br/> American author from Virginia who often published under the pseudonym Virginia Madison. Her best known work "Richmond During the War" was based on her personal diaries and notes graphically describing incidents involving refugees, prisoners of war, and the sick and wounded. Boldly signed and in excellent condition. *Brock, despite living to the age of 80, is very scarce in autographic material.<br/> <br/>
