JC Juta & Co., Capetown, 1888. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 152 pages (complete). A passive copy. Green boards with blind stamped decoration and stamped gilt titling and arms. The boards are much worn, scuffed, rubbed and marked all about. The spine too, has wear. The boards and spine are secure and comfortable. Within the gutterings along the frontispage, introduction page, pp 32/33, pp 128/129 are cracked. The general security of the book is assured. Early pages have some light foxing and age/ handling marks. Otherwise, the pages are pleasingly clean, clear, convivial, comfortable, congenial, certain. fk.
