Hardcover, quarto, pp. 321 plus pp. [4] index. Maps and illustrations. Very good in the publisher's cream-colored cloth with spine and upper board lettering gilt. GOOD dust jacket a trifle shelf worn but ensconced now in a clear protective sheet of archival mylar.
