Sydney: Library of Australian History (LAH), 1978. Facsimile ed.. Hardback small, no jacket as issued, very good plus condition, navy blue cloth cover (embossed edges, gilt spine lettering), black & white frontispiece, minor scuffing front endpapers. 48 pp. Title ends: "and Safe Arrival on the Coast of New Holland, with Particular Descriptions of Jackson's Bay & Lord Howe Island". An anonymous account, by an officer, of the First Fleet's departure from Plymouth (April 1787) to his embarkation on The Prince of Wales for his return voyage to England (14 July 1788). The first available firsthand description of events at Botany Bay, Port Jackson and Norfolk Island. Originally published in two versions, Aberdeen & London, 1789. Both title pages and one preface are reproduced here in facsimile, but the text of the London edition has been re-set (retaining original spelling, etc.) because it was too poor to reproduce in facsimile.
