Title printed in red & black. Early paper covered boards, rubbed. Some old faded stains along lower margin, some plates a bit soiled. The 6th edition, revised and with a new index, of this popular 18th century handbook for practical mathematics, first printed in 1717.

[xiv],734,[28] pp., illus. w/ 42 folding plates (geometric, trigonometric, mechanical, aerometrical, hydraulic, perspectival, astronomical, geographical, architectural, more), some with rubbing to fore-edges from improper folding. Lacks front flyleaf, a few period notations inked on main title, contents, with scattered internal notations. According to Arthur Warda's catalogue in his Immanuel Kants Bücher (1922), Kant owned a 1749 edition of this work in his personal library..
