Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have light shelf wear with minor corner bumping and crushing to spine ends. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is slightly dulled. Some additional mild marks and staining.

Elyne Mitchell started skiing in 1936. She made many trips to the Snowy Mountains with her husband Thomas Walter Mitchell. There were no roads. Mitchell immortalised these trips in her first book, Australia's Alps..
