Each issue 96, 84, 88, 96, 84 & 68 pp - many colour adverts and plates large format (245 x 310 mm) -glossy paper - most in fine condition (surface damage to cover of 4, and minor losses to rear wrapper of 3 & 5 ) - generally fine and as new. Superb Australiana magazine reflecting the immediate and early WW2 critical issues affecting Australia and its position in global affairs including the military (Navy, Army, Airforce), overseas exhibitions, art, personalities of the day, architecture, industry, tourism, the New York Fair , Lindsay family contributions (Norman & Lionel), sport, fashion, Darwin, Balinese beauties !, journalism, industrial design, war materiele manufacturing, Royal Show , building local aircraft, propaganda, brewing, overseas food production, women in the work force , the "New World Order" (traces of appeasement) etc etc - a fascinating microcosm of the Australian state of mind in this early WW2/Menzies era - important and rare - a good run - the magazine dwindled to a small digest format in later war years
