About This Item

Institute for Historical Review, 1990. Fine condition in Very Good Dust Jacket (light rubbing, but no chips, no tears, no creases). No owner's name or bookplate. No remainder marks. No underlining. No highlighting. No margin notes. Bright, clean, square, tight, unmarked copy. The author, a German judge and historian, argues that Auschwitz-Birkenau was not an Extermination Camp. Documented with 6 appendices and extensive chapter notes (filling 54 pages). Bibliography. Index. Illustrated with 21 pages of maps, plans, diagrams and photos. First published in English as THE AUSCHWITZ MYTH, A JUDGE LOOKS AT THE EVIDENCE in 1986. [Note: The 1986 edition appears under a variant spelling of the author's name, i.e. "Stäglich."] The text of this second edition appears to be identical to the first edition, although one new illustration has been added, a detailed "Plan of the Main Camp." Translated from the German by Thomas Francis. A very controversial book. The original, DER AUSCHWITZ-MYTHOS, was officially suppressed in Germany, and the University of Goettingen withdrew the doctoral degree it had awarded to the author in 1951. Keywords: Jewish Holocaust Denial. WWII. WW2. Nazi Germany. Third Reich. Concentration camps.. Second Edition. Hardcover. Tan cloth/Jacket not priced or clipped. 8vo. ix, 376pp. + 21 pages of illustrations..

About About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
