About This Item

East Aurora, New York: Saint John Vianney Seminary, 1962. First Edition . Soft cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. This set contains Volumes 1, No. 1; Volumes 2-8; and Volume 9 (1962-1970). Volume 1 appears to be missing 1 issue, while volume 9 is complete in a single issue. Volumes 2-8 are complete in 2 issues each. Sixteen of a possible 17 called for issues (volumes) for these years are present. The set contains an assortment of articles across various disciplines, though tending towards the theological. Additionally, there are many book reviews and lists of "books received," which offers interesting insight in itself. These volumes include the span of years when the Second Vatican Council was taking place and offer a little insight into contemporary thought about aspects of the Council. Additionally, some of the advertisements are quite interesting, including some that advertise lectures and/or conferences. In some cases, articles are heavily footnoted. Volume 6 contains a cumulative index for volumes 1-6. Volumes admit to some light wear and soiling in places, with minor dings to extremities, here and there. A couple of ink-marks to exterior. Address labels to back covers of 6 of the volumes. The volumes are held together with staples, with tiny holes to covers where several staples are, though bindings remain sound. Some minor ink and pencil to a very small number of pages. Several ink-stamps to interior. Bindings sound. Overall, a nice, clean, sound set. SCARCE
