New York: D. Appleton & Company, 1929. Book. Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover, red cloth in non price clipped publisher's dust-jacket. 278 pages. With Virginia Woolf quote to front flap of dust jacket and original $2.50 price. Translated by Dr. Joseph Collins. First edition, first printing with (1) present on last page of text. No previous ownership marks. Some darkening to red cloth at extremities, albeit gold spine lettering bright and legible. Several pages roughly opened at binder resulting in short tears to fore-edge margin. Dust-jacket generally worn with edge wear and age toning, now protected by new acetate covers. Good in a poor dust-jacket. .
