Good+ hard cover. Limited edition of 100 copies; signed by the artist. Black sand-grain cloth over bevel-edged boards, gilt stamped title on front cover; 9 lithographs of ink drawings in passe-partout framing recto with tissue-guards verso with text printed in Latin, German, English and French. Covers are lightly scuffed; clean but front cover has faint damp staining near top edge; front cover title gilt has some chipping; rubbing wear at spine ends with light fraying; tightly bound; all prints and text present and in very good condition. Title page has artist's full signature in pencil with date that appears to be 1925 (see photo). The artist was born 1906 and so would be 19 years of age if 1925 is correct. Large 4to (31 x 24 cm).

Folio (408mm x 325mm/16" x 12.8"), C. Smith, 1808 on watermarked paper dated 1801, engraved title with 45 engraved maps with full original hand colouring. From the estate of my great-great grandfather.Includes many unique poems and recitations such as "To a skull", "Uncle Daniel's Introduction to a Mississippi Steamer", "The Leak in the Dyke", etc. More well-known poetry includes "Song of Birds", "Old Ironsides", and "Bannock Burn" by Robbie Burns. Light rubbing and bumps to outside spine edges. Back cover and interior cloth covered board has a stain at top. Original owner's name and address from 1908, but no other writing or marks. First 2 pages have a stain at top, but text of 192 pages of poetry and recitations is totally clean with light tanning of pages.
