About This Item

Ottawa, Canada: National Postal Museum, 1980. Limited/Numbered/Signed. . Hardcover. Very Good. 1980 Limited Edition, #4/250, signed by the second author. Book is an anomoly - it should be signed by the main author, according to the limitation page; this copy was not. It is from the library of the second author, who has signed it. Book deals with "the postal history of the transatlantic mails between Britain and Canada up to 1899." Blue cloth, silver titling on blue morocco leather spine, red end papers, colour frontispiece, signed by Kenneth Mackenzie on title page, black and white illustrations and a few colour plates, twelve maps at back, 411 pages. Book is in a slipcase, covered in blue cloth, with colour pastedown on front. Slip case has a bump on the spine-edge and a few spots where colour is slightly paler, otherwise this very handsome volume is in great condition. Book is overweight. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees. Canadian customers, please note that applicable sales taxes will be added. Please contact us with any questions you might have. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall
