Original blue cloth (9.5 x 5.88 inches), 94 pages. Frontispiece portrait, illustrations throughout. Original printed white dust jacket. "Around the campfires of typographers Typographische Gestaltung has become the underground book of the century." The first appearance in English of the landmark 1935 book from the German designer, first published in German in Basel, this translation with a brief added prefatory note in English from Tschichold.
