Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1944. Later Printing. Cloth. Near fine/very good. Signed copy of Arundel by Kenneth Roberts.. Octavo, 632pp, [6]. Navy blue cloth, title in gilt on spine, embellishments and gilt design on front board. Solid text block, detailed imagery on endpapers, a near fine example. In publisher's dust jacket, $2.75 retail price on front flap, a touch of sunning to spine, some small closed tears along edges, a very good example. Signed and inscribed by Kenneth Roberts on title page, stated "Inscribed for Ed Fox / with thanks and every good wish / Kenneth Roberts / April 2nd, 1945." A rare 1944 printing of this novel. Kenneth Roberts (1885-1957) was a historical fiction writer who won a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation in 1957 for his novels focusing on early American history.
