Forty-nine years later signed the treaty with Great Britain establishing a sovereign Irish State. He lived in one of the most eventful periods of Irish history, one that witnessed the rise & fall of Parnell, the birth of the Gaelic League & of the Anglo-Irish literary movement, the launching of Sinn Fein - a new political organization founded by Griffith himself....
