Kokusai Bunka Shinkkokai Society for International Cultural Relations, Tokyo, 1960. 2 volumes, folio, cloth. with 546pp., 43pp. of text in English in Vol 1 and 22pp in Vol 2, and a total of 524 plates, including tipped-on color and b/w plates, each with descriptive text. The work is organized chronologically to cover the various periods of Japanese art Fine throughout except that the upper front conter of Vol 2 is bumped, and there are spots as from a liquid splash on the bottom edges of the text block, which, however, do not bleed up on the pages.
