About This Item

VG- condition quarto hardcover no dustjacket as issued. Slightly soiled edges and boards, with a small stain on the bottom edge.

Has the signature of Jack Jackson (Jaxon) on the ffep, along with a laid-in blank page with the letterhead of The Rip Off Review of Western Culture. Jaxon was a co-founder of Rip Off Press, so this book is possibly from his personal library.

An outstandingly well-illustrated tribute to 20th century comic art capturing the insights of ten leading international authorities on the subject. The text is in English, German, and French. Profusely illustrated, with color foldout sections.
