London: Art and Technics, 1949. Book. Fair. Soft cover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Softcover with jacket. Condition: Fair, covers are generally lightly shelfworn with some sunning to front cover corner approx. 2 by 4 inches which corresponds to a piece missing from the front cover of the dustjacket. The front cover has separated from the spine but is still holding at the rear joint. No inscriptions. Dustjacket condition: Poor, generally shelfworn and soiled with some small chips and tears and a piece missing approx 2 by 4 inches to the corner of front of jacket (as previously mentioned). 39pp. 18 colour and 49 b/w plates. This book sets the history of London transport posters in relation to the whole course of poster design from its earliest days to the date of publication (1949). It includes colour plates of posters by Edward Bawden, Edward Wadsworth, Clare Leighton, Betty Swanwick, E.McKnight-Kauffer and Gregory Brown. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
