London: Mssrs.Bock & Cousins, 1889. Cover: Plum/ maroon cloth on boards with gilt tiltes, and gilt decorative designs, embossed trim to margins, bevelled board edges. Cover has moderate fading, rubbing and dusting of old age soiling. Spine: mildly faded, some old surface puckering. Light bumping to some of the boards edges. Light wear to some of the extremeties. Edges: gilt with mild wear & light scratches; when pages are fanned there is some light soiling. Head of title page: small faded name stamp and one signature. All coloured plates are clean & intact, albeit some paper guards have a touch foxing. Faint and few only foxing to a few only pages margins mostly. One paper guard fore-edge with thin vertical tear. Couple of last pages with tiny nics to fore-edge. Binding is VG. Gold ribbon bookmarker. 180p Moderately heavy book: 305 x 250 mm. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
