The story of Jason and the Argonauts, the heroes who accompanied Jason on his voyage aboard the Argo in and his quest for the Golden Fleece. It is also the tragic story of Jason's love for Medea, the murderous sorceress.
It is written as an epic poem by Apollonius of Rhodes (c. 300-225 B. C.) who culled the story from ancient legends and on Euripides' drama of "Medea". The saga is one of the few works of Alexandrian Greek literature that survives today.
