Seton writes in the first person about his six-month venture into the Canadian Northwest in 1907, undertaken with naturalist Edwin Preble. Many line drawings by Seton. Cover blurb states: ".we have Seton's exciting, often amusing, account.of visiting distant outposts of the Hudson Bay Company, hunting buffalo, working with Indians, battling mosquitoes, and finally reaching the treeless plains above the Arctic Circle."
