Leipzig, Ex officina Breitkopfiana, 1740. 4vo. (5),+ (blank),+ 150 pp. Title with engraved vignette and with 21 engravings of coins in the text. Light foxing. Modern marbled paperboards, red edges. The errata leaf - crossed over with ink - is bound in the beginning. Owner’s signature on title by Hildebrand. Lipsius 429. Johann Georg Wachter (1663-1757) was mainly a linguist and spent the greater part of his life in Berlin. His main work was his large Glossarium Germanicum, published in 1737.
