Archive of 2 Hartford Female Seminary Catalogue and Circulars. 1876 and 1877. Measure 7 x 4.5 inches. 12 pages. Original soft wrappers, brown and green respectively. Catalogues include list of trustees, faculty, calendar, fees and students. The Hartford Female Seminary was established in 1823 by Catharine E. Beecher and based in the belief that the possibility of true gender equality was contingent on the quality of female education. Light shelfwear to both. Cover text worn on 1877 catalogue with light stain to front wrapper does not affect text. Pencil marked computations for basic arithmetic on inside of front wrapper for the 1876 catalogue. Overall good condition.
