Dark blue morocco spine and corners, with gilt ruled borders.Five raised bands on the spine, gilt title lettering, and date, with sporting emblems decorating four compartments.Top edge gilt.Ochre cloth boards, marbled endpapers. xvi, 534 pages. Illustrated with numerous full page engraved plates plus smaller text illustrations, includes photographs, engravings, drawings and diagrams etc with two maps at the end of the book one of which folds out..5.5 X 7.5 inches. There are some very few scuffs and rubbing to the leather here and there. Browning to fore edge, and some spotting to final pages offsetting to endpapers. Original owner's ex libris leather gilt letterd label on the front pastedown.Very good copy, pages mostly very clean throughout, with a very sound and solid binding.. First Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.
