The author was Director General of Archaeology in British India; the remains of the city of Taxila, which dates back to the 5th century BC, are near Rawalpindi. Good book in a Very Good dustjacket. Bumped corners with abrasions and paper loss to front lower edge and stain to back board, with marks to last two pages, some marginal marks and underlining to early pages, otherwise clean; abrasion where dustjacket had adhered to pastedown. Jacket has yellow marks to fold-ins,protected.
