Boston: Merrymount Press, no date [1904]. First edition. Octavo (9" x 5.75"), [6], 22, & [4] pages plus two photogravure plates, the title page, designed by T.M. Cleland, printed in black ink within an elaborate ornamental border in green depicting vines on a trellis surmounting a fountain. Publisher's brown paper over boards backed in gilt-lettered black cloth.
Binding moderately soiled, edges rubbed, corners bruised, roughly opened at title page causing a couple of nicks, occasional handling marks within, otherwise good or better.
A beautifully printed & relatively early example of the work of this important small fine press. Presents articles on gardening reprinted from various sources.
