Illustrated by Edward J. Detmold. In the Original FINE Pictorial Bright Gilt decorated white boards, with similar bright gilt titling and decoration to the spine. A bright, clean, crisp copy ( no fading, NO INSCRIPTIONS, fresh text block ). Looks unread. Housed in a Fine slipcase which shows only some slight smudging from storage if you look very closely. A Very handsome copy. (viii) + 239pp. , Full page full colour frontispiece and 11 further full page full colour beautiful plates (12 in all) all by the very talented E. J. Detmold. A reprint of 1924 Hodder & Stoughton edition. One of those handsome bindings and content, that the Folio Society do so well.
