Octavo, original cloth, very fully illustrated with maps, charts, diagrams and illustrations. Foreword by T. E. Lawrence. Appendix by Sir Arthur Keith. Very good in the rare original dust jacket which is in very good condition. Ownership name. English diplomat and explorer Bertram Thomas undertook a number of expeditions into the Arabian desert and became the first European to cross the Rub' al Khali from 1930 and 1931, a journey he recounted in Arabia Felix with detailed descriptions of the animals, inhabitants, and culture.
