The story is told from various points of view: Generals Grant and Lee, Lincoln, Richmond, Petersburg, etc. With several maps and a section of black & white plates. --- In full orange cloth-covered boards with titling in black, white and blue to spine. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- With sunned spine (titling is still readable) and spot of soiling to back panel, gift inscription inked to front free endpaper, else a clean, bright, tightly-bound copy.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; (12), 433 pages .
